Privacy Policy

For PDF to Word Converter & JPG (iOS and Android)

Effective date: September 10, 2026

PDF to Word Converter & JPG ("the App") is developed by Kimbytes ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the App does with your files and data. The short version: there is no account, we do not keep your files, and most conversions never leave your device.

Your files

On-device tools. Image conversion, image to PDF, photo and video compression, PDF merge, split and page export, resize, crop, text recognition (OCR) and ZIP extraction run entirely on your device. Those files are never uploaded.

Server tools. A few conversions need software that cannot run on a phone: PDF to Word, Office documents to PDF, audio to MP3, and RAR/7z/TAR extraction. For these, the file you choose is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to our conversion server, converted, returned to your device, and deleted from the server immediately after the conversion finishes. Files are processed in temporary storage only. We do not store, read, index, share or use your files for any other purpose. We log only the file type, size and processing time, never the file name or content.

On iOS, results are saved under the App's folder in Files. On Android, results are saved in the App's storage and can be shared or exported. You control your saved results.

Information we collect

We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos library, precise location, or advertising identifier, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Service providers

We use Google Cloud (conversion server and analytics storage), Firebase (app integrity checks and analytics), RevenueCat (purchase validation) Apple (iOS payments, App Store, Search Ads attribution) and Google Play (Android payments and distribution). Each processes data only to provide its service to us.

Data retention

Uploaded files: deleted immediately after conversion (at most within the same request). Usage events and the anonymous identifier: retained while the App exists to provide the service and statistics; you can reset the identifier by deleting and reinstalling the App.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Because the App does not hold an account, the practical way to exercise them is to contact us with your anonymous identifier (shown in Settings) so we can delete the associated records.

Changes

We may update this policy; the effective date above will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
